For many years I have used the AOL U.M S for faxing, but as of 28 Feb AOL will no longer offer this service. Therefore I would like to find a international company that offers a fax number and online faxing…..inexpensive as possible…..or perhaps free!!

Have anybody tried the online-fax …it sounds pretty good. but non of my friends tried that before …os i don know if that thing works really well or waht ……..

I am technologically ignorant. I am trying to set up a home office and give myself as much flexibility as possible. I’d ideally like to have as few wires in my office as possible. Also, I’m purchasing a new laptop computer. But I don’t know anything about WI-FI, Bluetooth, or internet access providers such as Sprint or Verizon. Can someone explain to me if I need all of them, or just one or two of them. Also, does WI-FI, Bluetooth etc eliminate the need for wires going from the fax machine to the computer to the printer and scanner etc? Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Or if you know of a good "dummies" guide please let me know. Thanks

I have a Word Doc resume that I need to "fax" to normal fax machines. I use "Broadband" instead of dialup service. How do I "fax" from a doc to a fax machine???

I’m just curious- anyone who has recently applied to Columbia College in Chicago- how do you go about faxing a letter of recommendation? There is a form that needs to be filled out with your info in addition to the letter itself, which needs to have your name and social security number on it. Do I just fax the both of these to the number it specifies and I’m done?

I can hardly find printers that function as fax machines that are affordable anymore, and a simple fax machine, even at the low end will cost well over 0. And I’m comparing to the use of an online fax service that will cost about per month.

So which makes more sense? Does anyone here use an online service just for regular home use? Is it worth it?

The scenario: Many job applications are in PDF files ready for downloading from employers’ sites. I can open and view/print/fax, but I can’t write in them to send via email. I can’t seem to convert it it to Word and then attach it to the email that way. What do I do?

My emachines computer came with a complimentary 60 day trial version of Microsoft Office Standard Editon 2003, but since I didn’t purchase it, if I delete it, will I be freeing up the 442 MB of space, or will I be deleting certain free programs like Windows Picture and Fax Viewer that I still use. When I had the 60 day free version, I was using Microsoft Picture Manager, but it locked after the 60 days was over. Please help.
So will I be freeing up 440MB of space by removing Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003 since I decided not to purchase it?
