ADSL Modem wont work?
Hi. I have a problem with ma ADSL Modem.
Since I had problem with wireless key, I decided to install a modem.
It’s an old USB modem that my father gave to me. Attached the USB cable, internet cable to the filtre etc… I installed the drivers (as manual says). I setted up everything but… it wont work! Why? Maybe the problem is that the modem is ADSL and the service ADSL2? May be the cable? May be the filtre? The filtre is very old and it was full of dust. What should I do? I’m getting mad… with wi-fi my connection always times out so I need to use a modem… what’s the problem???
PS: Sorry for my bad English, I’m Italian. But Italian Yahoo! Answers doesn’t help me.

Oh well.. I can’t whitouth philtre..
1. Connection will fall when I’ll get a phone call
2. I have not it directly in the wall, lol

i had exactly the same problem earlier with a friends pc i managed to get online by connecting the connection directly to the phoneline without the filter and it went online straight away, shutdown your computer – plug connection straight to phoneline – reset modem – restart computer
should work fine
