You need a router with dual wan ports to bind two Internet connections into one. A basic Ethernet switch will not allow you to double your speed. Here’s the kind of router you need: http://www.amazon.com/Cisco-RV042-4-port-100-Router/dp/B0002I7288/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1251066219&sr=1-1
you are going to need 2 NIC’s as well, and assuming you can set one for downstream and one for upstream, AND you have 2 different IP’s on your DSL lines, you might see some gain, but not double, but you are using a switch, which means you dont have 2 NIC’s, which means you are still limited by the speed of the cable. Its cheaper to just upgrade to a cable connection and pay for the premium service. 20M down.
You can’t bond your DSL lines even if its from the same vendor to gain higher bandwidth connection Even if you get a Dual WAN router. Get a couple of T1′s if you want to do that.
