Does anyone have any experience with the fax to email service Packetel Fax Service (pFax)?
I am thinking about getting an account with them as they have unlimited incoming faxes, which is what I need (I have a separate set up for outgoing, which my need for is minimum). Does anyone have any personal experience with them? Good, bad, or ugly? Thanks in advance!

I worked for a law firm which received dozens of faxes per day. We had 3 offices, so we needed to be mobile. We tried eFax, which was great at first, but their overage charges were rediculous. Then we found pFax/Packetel. It was definitely a blessing. The only downside if you’re switching from eFax, is that pFax doesn’t show you the number of pages contained in the fax. However, if you’re using a service like Yahoo or AOL, which shows you the data size of the email, you can make an educated guess. Both services show you the CallerID information, and both services offer faxes in TIF or PDF format. I don’t know what other formats are available, but those were the two most important for our office.
In short, the only difference between eFax and pFax is the lack of pagination, and the lack of overcharging.
