Fax Software?
Is there a free program I can get, to receive and send faxes directly from my computer, by connecting it to a phone line?
I have windows vista home premium.

Vista has that function built into it. Just install a fax/modem in the machine and it will be available under printers and faxes.
Vista has a great built in fax software you can install from under Printers, it will show up as being called Microsoft fax.
It will then ask you to set up a cover page, phone settings like after how many rings to answer the call, where to store the faxes and the like.
From then on instead of printing out documents if you choose the Fax as a printer from a program. It will pop up a fax dialogue asking you if you want a cover page and the info to the recipient. Its really simple to use, you can even scan documents in with it and fax them out like that.
