fax software for windows vista home premium?
Hi, I just got this HP with windows vista home premium, which is a
huge mistake, as I later found out that there is no microsoft fax
software installed like the XP version. I went ahead to download the
Delrina Winfax Lite freeware from the web and installed it on my vista
machine. However, my fax modem is using COM8 port and the winfax lite
freeware can only do com1,2, 3, 4. Somehow this software can not go
beyond the com4. I wonder if anyone has the same problem or has some
suggestions to this problem? Thanks!

This is just one more reason why so many people don’t like Vista! You need to buy the business edition to get the fax software or buy a third party application. Microsoft are great at adding loads of extra bloatware that nobody needs, whilst striping out useful stuff like windows fax software! Why do we need so many different versions of Windows Vista?
