i think u need a wireless router:S
my advice is to ring the internet company customer service line:D
You probably need a router.
Do a Google search for home networking.
you DONT need a router
you may need to run the network set up wizard and the internet connection sharing wizard im fairly sure it exists in vista although i accidently formatted my copy of it run the wizard and your IC will be shared through the ethernet X over cable – sometimes for seemingly no reason it mite not work though – i have this set up
Connect the crosswire Ethernet Cable to the LAN card on your PC and the LAN RJ45 interface on your Laptop. Go to Windows XP Help & Support from Start Menu and search for "To enable Internet Connection Sharing on a network connection" and try out the steps given!!
