How do I get my computer to send/receive fax docs?
what software do i need to buy? I tried the fax service of windows but the computer doesnt recognize the modem that came with internet provider, it is connected to ethernet card.
do i need to by a new fax/modem card?

You can’t use a DSL or Cable modem to receive faxes. You need one that actually works with POTS (plain old telephone system).
I would rather use an online service like
http://www.efax.com or
http://www.myfax.com
That way I can use it from anywhere such an internet cafe or a friend’s PC.
