Buy a splitter and a cable from Home Depot or other store, and run the new wire below the floor or above the ceiling, which ever is easier. You could even go along the floor molding if you rent and don’t want holes.
Is there a basement or crawl space? You can run a line either from an existing jack, down through the floor then back up into your study, its actually just 2 thin wires that need to be hooked up for a single line or you can run the line directly from were it enters your house usually someplace close to your electrical panel. Depending on the age of the original installation the wires will either be attached by a couple of bolts to a terminal block or punched onto the block with a special tool, you used to be able to get the tool the Source but I think they folded in the US, if you are Canadian then you can still shop there.
Just run Cat3 from one of the existing jacks or the NID (where the phone companies wires interface with the wires in your home). The latter is better.
Being it is for internet, another solution is to install the modem where a phone jack is, and use wireless router or power line ethernet extenders to extend the network side of the modem to the computer.
