how do i install an inernet modem on vista?
because i reinstalled windows vista and now it says that im not connected to the internet!!=[ i called the company and they told me that the internet modem is fine and that the internet modem unstalled from my computer plz if someone knows how to install it back plz plz tell me thanxx
oh yeah by the way i have a desk top not a laptop!!

Vista is terrible at recognizing modems. Chances are you will be out of luck. You will need to find out what type of modem you have, then search for drivers, get that driver install it on vista and it will work. About 95% of modems won’t have drivers for vista though….sorry.
your control panel should have devices like, keyboard, mouse, modem
click on modem and tell it to look for your modem, if it cannot find it, tell it what modem you have

Kick out Vista, install Linux and then put in a router. End of troubles.
