How do I stop fax spam to an Australian home phone number?

Our home phone number used to belong to a solictors office and we continually receive spam faxes. I have been able to receive some of these with our fax machine and have called/refaxed companies asking them to remove us, but we continue to get more faxes with different companies. does anyone have any ideas on what we can do to stop this? We live in Australia, changing our number isn’t really an option, would rather just stop the faxes coming through – very annoying when you have a small baby trying to sleep!
