HSG Lab creating issue on doing HSG for me because i am out of state patient-pls help?
Hi..
I just relocated to Texas from Ohio.I have an appointment with RE later this month.My Gyno from Ohio sent as HSG order test to a lab here in TX.
I did checked with the Lab if they can do an HSG here in TX and informed them that my Gyno is from Ohio and If they can do an HSG test and they said they can do that.
Today when i called them to see if they got the HSG test order fax they said they would not do HSG test if the gyno is outside the state.
But then why did they told me yesterday that they can still do the HSG in TX even though my Gyno is in Ohio.
I am feeling frustated:( If i don’t go for an HSG this month,I will have to wait for another 1 month for the test because HSG is supposed to have 7-8 day after periods and i am on my periods right now..also i wanted to me all set with my lab results before i meet RE.
I am going to pay for my hsg from my pocket as i do not have health insurance.So then why should they have problem?
What do i do now..Any advice?

Maybe your dr knows another gyno in TX and maybe he can reffer you to that gyno. That gyno can order an HSG test to be done. Most likely if your gyno can’t practice in TX then he won’t be able to order HSG or any other procedure for you.
I would have your OH Dr call your TX Dr and request the order. If your OH dr does not have a license to practice in TX then he can not write you any type of medical order to be preformed in TX. Good luck to you
