I purchased a hp all in 1 T45xi at a yard sale I can faxfrom the machine It shows some one elses # on the fax.
Also I cannot fax from my PC as it does not recognize the unit I am running qwindows XP. I also cannot recieve a fax as the stored # is not mine and the fax goes elsewhere. I would like to set up the fax to send and recieve with my # so I can recieve faxes. If possible I want to use the pc to send and recieve faxes as well. Can you help As far as I can tell every thing is hooked up properly, ans all the soft ware has been installed correctly. I get a message cannot communicate with PC.

The HP support site is a good place to start. You likely need drivers for the unit. Also, you’ll need to reset the machine to factory defaults to get rid of the other number.
