Your computer might have software that allows you to send a "fax" either by using your scanner or by just sending a text file. You can also use a fax machine at your local postal store or grocer.
I think you need a fax machine.
Please do not go to Libby’s link above. it is full of malware. AVOID IT.
If you have Windows XP. It should have built in software to send faxes using your existing modem.
While sending a fax, you DO NOT want to be connected to the internet using the same modem!

As s’body said: if you have XP, 98 or 2k it has a fax. First you need to set it up (Help FAX) Then when you write a letter you click on "print" and choose FAX. If you have a scanned document on your comp then you’ll need to paste it into a document.
