Is fax modem same as dial up modem?
I want to send fax from PC. I know programs like WinFax, but everyone says you need a fax modem. Is that something special or the same as a regular dial up modem???

Yes it is. Fax modem is the same one as dialup modem.

you can send a fax from most modems, I never had a modem that wouldn’t send a fax.
Not always, but most modern modems will send faxes. Windows come with a send fax utlity, so you can try it before investing in special software for faxing.
