Is it legal to fax a flyer to part of my customer database and what is the easiest way to do it?
I have a selection out of my customer database that I want to fax a flyer regarding a customer appriciation bbq I am hosting. Basically I want to fax a flyer inviting each customer that has purchased within the past three months or spent a certain dollar amount over the past year. There are thousands. I can sort the fax numbers I want out into excel but is there an easier way then having one of my employees sit by the fax machine all day? Also, is it legal to fax invitations that are unsolicitated?

if you have done business in the past and you are inviting them to an event, then I wouldn’t find faxing offensive …. and that is probably more of an issue than whether there are regulations about it or not.
you could post a flyer to them, and I would find that less intrusive, but your postage costs will be more than fax costs.
I woudn’t bother with email … I automatically delete anything Im not expecting.
