Possible to fax from high-speed internet?
I travel quite a bit, from my hotel with high-speed internet, how do I fax my office. Conversely, how does my office fax to me so I can receive it via internet? Thanks so much

There are a ton of internet fax services that can be purchased for relatively-low monthly rate. http://www.FaxCompare.com summarizes all of the information about many internet fax providers and informs consumers about the pros and cons of each service. It is unbiased so consumers get the real information instead of tainted views and provides an apples-to-apples comparison of each one. You should use this site to decide which fax service best fits your needs.
By using an internet fax service, you can send documents that you write through your email and receive faxes the same way.
I hope this helps!
ya but you need to buy a software
Well, I didn’t know if you could do it, but I checked it out.
I went onto download.com and narrowed down fax related programs and narrowed it down to the free ones for your convenience. I’m not sure what operating system you have for your computer, but itf you look to the left of the page this url will take you to, you can further narrow down the results. You should take your time to look through them (read their detail page) and see which one you think will help. Then just download it I guess.

Luck!
Your best bet is using an Internet fax service such as the one from the company I work for MyFax (www.myfax.com). Once you connect to the Internet at the hotel, you can send and receive faxes either through your regular e-mail client, or by going to MyFax Central (our secure server) and logging in.
The mechanics are simple. When you sign up for an account, you’re assigned a phone number – either toll-free or local, your choice. People faxing to you from the office dial that number just as they always would, but the fax is delivered over the Internet. If you’re sending the fax, you input the number and MyFax takes care of the rest, delivering it to the office fax machine as though it came from another machine.
One of the nice things about using a service like MyFax is it will hold your inbound faxes for you until you go back online, then deliver them once you open your e-mail client. (If you’re using our secure server they’ll be waiting there for you.) If you’re sending the fax, MyFax will keep trying for 24 hours, and will e-mail a confirmation of delivery or a notice of failure to your computer or even a mobile phone.
One other thing. MyFax works anywhere you can get an Internet connection, so it’s just as handy at the airport, Starbuck’s, Panera Bread, or any other Wi-Fi hotspot. You get all of this for $10 a month.
Hope this helps!
Actually, Ehsan, you do not need to buy any software. You just pay for the service which is actually cheaper than the cost of having a fax line, paying for the fax supplies (ie: ink, paper) and the cost of long distance fees.
