I am currently serving in Iraq, we have no fax machines but have access to email. Is there any way to email to a fax machine and it still work the same. Or is there some service that could do this for me?

I can hardly find printers that function as fax machines that are affordable anymore, and a simple fax machine, even at the low end will cost well over 0. And I’m comparing to the use of an online fax service that will cost about per month.

So which makes more sense? Does anyone here use an online service just for regular home use? Is it worth it?

i have my fax cables and and home printer with a scanner but it doesn’t have the number that fax machines regularly have. how can i do to send faxes just using my computer and softwares? can i?

There are some fax machines that are also in the phone mode. I know the person dialing can press some numbers for the fax machine to go into the fax mode immediately. Which numbers are they?

My fax and telephone are on the same line. I have had 2 different fax machines, and the same thing happens. If the fax is left on, and somebody rings on that line the fax cuts in and all the person calling hears is a screatching tone, like on a modem. How can I stop this? Do I need a special fax machine or do I need a type of filter on my line? If so which one, and if there is a picture of it that would be great. Thankyou

TW tells you that fax machines "should" work with their system, but my Cannon fax doesn’t. Furthermore, TW will not tell you that is the case nor will they recommend a fax that will work. I have been to several electronics stores in my area and they don’t know either. They say that they sell a digital adaptor that will enable the fax to work. I skeptical about it.

I have internet phone line (VoIP). I tried two different fax machines, as recommend by the dealer. They do not work. I called the companies (Sharp and brother). They said that these are analog machines and they do not work on VOIP. Do you know any fax machines that would work ? Thanks

Today I went to check my email only to find my ISP (Mindsync / AerioConnect) had disappeared. Literally. Their web pages have been removed, their phone numbers disconnected or diverted to fax machines. I have no clue what is going on as I have received no communications from them indicating termination of services (I have paid through September 2009). PLEASE HELP!

I have people who want to send me black and white faxes, but I hate fax machines. Anybody know of a free fax email program? Help! Only need it once in a while.

I don’t have anything against email and definitely do prefer email over fax, but some people just don’t want to let go of their fax machines!

Do fax machines work more like e-mail, where you can send as many as you want regardless of the destination for the same price of the service provider. Or is it more like calling someone on the phone, where one is charged by the destination and and time spent.

I want to send a fax to 72 peoples that I do business with daily. I want something that you can send to fax to ACTUAL fax machines from MS word, and other programs used for TIF’s, PIC’s paintings, etc. I also want to be able to key in their numbers and send at one time. What is best?

I’m trying to find some information on a fax machine which cannot accept faxes coming from computer based fax setups, and can only accept faxes from dedicated fax machines. Has anyone heard of such a problem? Better yet, do you have any links to help troubleshoot a problem like this?
