I looked at services such as efax, etc but they involve a monthly fee. I may have a need to fax from home 1-2 times every few months but not enough to justify paying a monthly charge. I would be open to a pay-per-fax method and I would not need to receive any faxes.
Also, I do not have a phone line since I use wireless only. Therefore, I need this capability via the internet.

I hooked up an external modem with fax capabilities, hooked it up to my phone line, and ran the set-up wizard through "windows fax and scan". However, I’m not sure if it will work. Is there any way to test if I can receive faxes correctly? Additionall, is it ok if I don’t have a printer hooked up, will the fax just be received in "windows fax and scan" similiar to how e-mails are received? Thanks!

i need to send some faxes but i dont want to pay for it. does anyone know of any. all that i have saw are free trials but i dont want to give my credit card number out.
all i really need to do is send one fax. i will probably never use it again, which is why i dont want to pay for it.

I have a combined printer, scanner, copier and fax machine but only one phone line. I have been told that I can run the fax line through the modem of the computer to send and receive faxes. Does anyone know who to do this, what cables/connections do I need and how does it work?
The machine is an Epsom and we are on Virgin broadband.

I have occasion maybe 2-3 times a month that I need to receive a fax. Every free fax service I find has a monthly charge. I have a fax machine/printer/scanner but can’t get it to work with my computer/phone/voicemail therefore I was searching a stand alone provider. Didn’t want to spend much just to receive 2-3 faxes, sometimes none, per month. Maybe I need to spend more time establishing the one I already have.

My office receives a huge volume of faxes everyday. The fax is in another part of the office. (Strange office politics but wanting to find a solution) I know there is a program available that will send these faxed image documents to a computer email address and then can be stored or printed. I need help! Can anyone suggest what it is that I need? I work in a funeral trust department that requires a death certificate before payout of funds is made. Everyday we receive between 10 – 20 death certificates. Because of office politics we are unable to have the fax machine in our location. It would be really 21st century to have this computer program!

My fax machine is recieving faxes but I cannon send an email from my fax. It looks like i need to configure it from a computer by typing in the ip in internext explorer but I dont know the address. How can I look it up?

Our home phone number used to belong to a solictors office and we continually receive spam faxes. I have been able to receive some of these with our fax machine and have called/refaxed companies asking them to remove us, but we continue to get more faxes with different companies. does anyone have any ideas on what we can do to stop this? We live in Australia, changing our number isn’t really an option, would rather just stop the faxes coming through – very annoying when you have a small baby trying to sleep!

I want to send faxes to 50 numbers every night. They’ve agreed to accept my faxes. I have a computer that has a phone line connected to it and it has an internal modem. Is there a program or a way to input a list of phone numbers to fax? Also how would I set up the file to fax? It will be black and white and one page long. I am looking for an all in one that will scan, fax, and print. The only catch is we are trying to have all of our faxes go straight to our computer instead of the printer and only print out the faxes that we need (we get a lot of junk at our office and ink is not cheap). Is there a printer that is capable of doing this or do we need some sort of software in addition to the printer?? We would also like to fax pages straight from our computer instead of having to print then to fax them. Oh and the scanner had to have an automatic document feeder since we scan multiple pages.
