I have two pages to fax, cover sheet and one additional document. When it sends the fax, it says sending page 1 of 1. When I go to the faxes sent log and open that fax, it only shows the cover page. How do I make it send everything I insert?

After installing DSL, I can’t seem to send any faxes from my computer. When it dials, the error message shows: "No dial tone. The phone line is in use or not connected."

My phone line works fine, and I can manually dial out with no problem with DSL installed. I use Windows Xp Home Ed., 736 MB RAM,service pk 2, MSIE 7.0, Zonealarm firewall, Comodo antivirus program,etc. What do I need to do?

I would need to fax only about 20-30 faxes per year, throughout the year. Since I travel a lot I wouldn’t have access to a dedicated phone/fax line, so I’d like something that I could use via the internet.

can you call a phone number with dsl or is it like hi speed. with hi speed you need voip. i send a lot of faxes from my pc and i need call phone numbers.

I have a printer/scanner/copier, but it is not a fax machine. I work from home a lot and have been told I can send an attachment through my email to a fax machine. I did look on the Internet but do not want to perform 100′s of these faxes, just occasionally.

i tried to use windows fax software. the problem is if other part calls to send a fax page i don’t get any notification (alert like normal fax machine rings) from computer software even program says it’s online. i press the "receive fax" button and they are sending after i call them informing i’m ready to receive. what i want is, somewhere i had seen a program that rings automatically if smbd wants to send fax. tnx

Also I cannot fax from my PC as it does not recognize the unit I am running qwindows XP. I also cannot recieve a fax as the stored # is not mine and the fax goes elsewhere. I would like to set up the fax to send and recieve with my # so I can recieve faxes. If possible I want to use the pc to send and recieve faxes as well. Im having a heck of a time getting anywhere with Dells customer care dept. They will not honor the warranty they sold me and Im not taking no for an anwer. We currently have an HP Officejet 6210 All-in-one and it is too slow, I don’t care for the color quality, and I can’t send multiple faxes without loading each one. It did the job we needed it to for a year and was cheap but we need to get more done.

I want the fax machine to answer both faxes and phone calls by automatically recognizing which calls are faxes and which calls are phone calls, or is using an internet fax service the best route usibg the ethernet port on the fax machine. I’m trying to set-up my PC to send and receive Faxes with Sky Netgear Broadband modem. The Fax Console says I have no modem installed – I DO!! If I use the ‘Add Hardware Wizard’ it tells me it cannot detect a modem. If I insert the software CD that came from Sky, it tells me it cannot detect the relevant software.

I have a fax number so that I can receive faxes to an email account, however I would like to be able to send also without having an actual fax machine in my home. Hey if it is free that is all the better. Faxing is such an outdated technology while .pdf is better. I already have conversions for .pdf files to word and vice versa. Some companies still like to receive faxes and I need help on this one. Please forgive me as I also have not had the time to do the research. We have tried WinFax as well as e-fax and they are unable to support the large volumes we send out. We would also like the program to receive faxes via e-mail.

I need to fax documents for Government job applications. They want six documents each with separate cover sheets and each time I apply I have to refax the documents. If I apply for 20 jobs that would be 120 faxes of 2-3 documents a piece. Kinko’s charges for the cover and .50 for each additional page. So you can see for someone out of work that 0-700 is pretty outrageous.

I tried E-fax supposedly free but they have no outgoing fax on their free service. I could by a cheap fax for from Amazon but I thought I give Yahoo a chance before adding another useless piece of equipment to my desktop. I have a copy/scan printer. Thanks
I know the fax is done but our federal government is not up with the times. I have the documents as PDF but they specifically say they won’t accept these documents as a fax and to add insult to injury they require you to download their fax cover page or they won’t accept it.
I mean they won’t accept unless they are a fax.

I posted a similar query a while ago, and the best answer ended up being "Google fax to email"….Well, I don’t want to fax to email, and all the Googling for "email to fax" gave me fax to email options…..I am trying to set up a web form on a web site for someone who doesn’t check their email often, and would find getting faxes easier. Is there anything out there like a "formfax" application….? Please no answers about google, unless you suggest a specific site……I’m all Googled out, having searched for some time (even before posting my first question) now.

This is for business purposes. We send/receive approx. 1000-1500pages of faxes per month.
We have a fax line already, but feel that it would be more cost effective to have these faxes received and then have the option of printing them. After trying to search for options online I have realized that all I’m finding is sites for specific companies’ products. I want to know what the easiest way is for us to conduct this change without having to change our fax number.

I don’t have a modem installed on my computer. Is there a way to do it over the internet, so when people send me a fax, it prints to a PDF file, etc. on my computer.
