I have an Hp psc 2410 photosmart all-in-one, I installed everything, and I have put a fax number with the same number of digits in a normal phone number. How do I correctly set up a fax and make it work. Do I have to leave my fax on so I could receive them from other people?

I have a HP 5510 all in one I can send a fax how ever I can not recieve and print. I know something is not set up right however I can not solve the problem please help.

Can i use my all in one printer (Print-Scan-Copy) to send a fax through a computer? I use the HP Photosmart 2575 printer.
I also have a moden in my computer.

We currently have an HP Officejet 6210 All-in-one and it is too slow, I don’t care for the color quality, and I can’t send multiple faxes without loading each one. It did the job we needed it to for a year and was cheap but we need to get more done.

When I send a fax from my computer (using my fax modem in MS Word or from my scanner), it is in color on my computer, but the fax where it’s going always prints it in black & white. I know that her fax is an HP 6210xi all in one, and prints in color. I can’t find any info on the HP website or anywhere to tell me why it always comes through in black & white. Can you help?

So it has a fax modem…does that mean I have to buy a fax machine,or can I set it up without one?

I have a HP DV6000 laptop with Windows Vista 32-bit.

I want to know if I can delete Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartPC (I don’t use a fax machine, so I don’t think I need this. But just making sure.)

Also: Mouse Suite (came with computer), and Apple Software Update (I have Apple Quicktime, but don’t use it.)

Will it screw up my computer if I remove these? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I just got this HP with windows vista home premium, which is a
huge mistake, as I later found out that there is no microsoft fax
software installed like the XP version. I went ahead to download the
Delrina Winfax Lite freeware from the web and installed it on my vista
machine. However, my fax modem is using COM8 port and the winfax lite
freeware can only do com1,2, 3, 4. Somehow this software can not go
beyond the com4. I wonder if anyone has the same problem or has some
suggestions to this problem? Thanks!

I have a hp office jet 4215 all in one printer-fax-scanner- copier. I do not have it connected to the phone line just to the computer, howver it says fax. I tried to print something but it wont because it is in fax mode not in printer mode. There are three buttons one which says fax the other scan and the other copy. But there is no printer one. How do put it in printer mode?

I bought HP PC with Windows Vista Home Premium with modem installed but no software. I have searched every where to find the software to run the fax modem without success. I also installed a different modem that I have with software but did not work either. If someone knows where to download the proper software to run the fax modem with windows vista please let me know.

The modem that came with the computer is PCI Soft Data Fax Modem with smartCP and the one that I installed is Smart Link 56K Voice Modem COM4.

I have an HP Officejet 7410 All-In-One and I receive over 50 pages of faxes a day and most of which do not need to be printed. Can I set up my Officejet to send them to my pc? Or what other options do I have?

I have a HP 3150 LaserJet fax. It worked fine then all of a sudden I went to send a fax and it went into memory then stated " will send when phone is available". The phone is available, we did all the normal trouble shooters such as changed outlets, changed phone lines, put on a new line. Rebooted it and when it got rebooted it does all the test, one test is the fax test and when it does it, there is a dial tone. Not sure if getting the dial tone on the fax test means it is truely getting a dial tone but I assume it is. All phone lines used were fine. The copier and everything else works fine. Have not received faxes either.

What do I do to send PDF from PC to fax via phone line? I also have the hp fax machine which I can connect to PC if needed. I have Windows XP home edition.
