I don’t want to have to use a modem. I want to be able to fax the same document to groups (broadcast). I would like it to be software based, not internet based or something that requires me to pay per page/month etc. Please Help!!

Tried several sites but most of them are sharewares. I’ve had winfax pro in my computer before, but got erased during refomat when my pc broke down. Just need to send out fax messages through my modem. Please help.

I recently installed ADSL service and I set up my modem as "router" so that is always connected to the internet. Also because I have two computers and I was told that is the way to configure it so that both can have access to the internet.
Now I’ve been having a series of problems with it, the most recent is I can’t seem to open videos straight from the internet in real media or windows media player mode. I can download them most of the times by clickin "Save target as…" but I can’t open them right away. Is there something I have to change on my modem so that I can open videos? Open some port or something? If so how can I do it? I have a ZyXEL Prestige 600 series.

I have a new modem but I think it’s too slow. I don’t want to mess with my dad’s configuration, but I have a phone line in my room with the old modem. Is there any way I can set that up in my room and have two modems on one line?

I’m looking for a software that can send faxes with only a dsl line. I already have winfax, but it requires to sign with a company to pay monthly or fax with a modem. Does anyone have any suggestion?

I got it for a 501c3 tax exempt charity organization for free, but the modem is PAINFULLY slow. I fix everything from Automotive Engine Rebuilds, to replacing breakers in the electrical Load Box, but cracking open a computer is new to me and selecting hardware is too. Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope!

2 and all the drivers have been installed successfully. I look at the device manager and the d-link modem is installed and it states that it is working correctly. I would like to know since this is much different than Windows XP how do you connect to the internet using this modem as the other connection efforts have come out with no result.. please tell me step by step.

I have a fax machine at work that is connected to our network, is it possible to set it up to send faxes through it from my PC, and receive the faxes it gets on my PC? I don’t have a modem on the computer, but the fax machine is hooked up to the phone line. Is this possible or does my computer have to have a modem?
I should mention that I don’t need to fax already existing documents, I want to fax documents I’ve created in say Microsoft Word or something. And make it clear that I’m trying to send this through to a fax machine that is connected through our network, I am not directly connected to it through USB or anything.
Safe Mode – we already have a fax machine with it’s own number, can I set my computer up to receive the faxes that are sent to it? We got a lot of junk sent to us and I would like to avoid wasting paper.

I’ve followed the manufacturer directions, TMobile’s customer support directions and searched Google.

Windows won’t "install" the driver, no matter what I do. So the modem doesn’t show up in the Control Panel’s Modem List and I can’t complete the rest of the setup/configuration.

I received a new Acer laptop, but it does not allow me to connect to the internet. My other laptop and desktop are not experiencing any problems. Do I have to add my modem information to the new laptop? I took the laptop to Best Buy, and it connected to the internet there. Thank you for your help!

my desktop is not connected to a modem for my internet. It is connected to a wireless receiver to go through the internet. I have a all in one printer/fax/scanner connected to my desktop. Is it possible to send a fax through my computer through the wireless receiver to my modem, which is what my phone goes through?

I have a dsl connection through my phone line, However, I don’t have phone service where I can make and receive calls. Could I do a pc fax in this type of scenario if I hook a phone line from my dial-up modem in my pc to the phone jack, or would I have to have phone service?

I bought an encore v.92 modem and i want to install the modem in my compaq deskpro 4000 6233MMX desktop but when i incert it in the pci slot it does not detect it and i cant access the modem in anyway. Can anyone help me with this?

I recently changed computers & used a cd rom to install my modem onto the new computer but after 30 mins of being online, I am cut off all internet usage. I have adsl broadband, not dial up. I have to restart the computer everytime i want to get on the net & only have 30 mins of usage.
