RapidFax.com

Job listings on CareerBuilder.com often have the option of faxing your resume, or attaching it to an online link. Which offers me a better opportunity to have it reviewed by a human (rather than scanned by a computer)? Do I dare attach it and fax it?

My job hunt is very frustrating because too many employers demand to fax them relevant documents (like transcripts, resume, etc etc). I end up going to a store and paying to 7 each time i fax stuff. I have repeated this cycle over 100 times in the past 8 months.

Can someone please let me know what would be the total cost of getting fax machine installed at home, and who will install it? Will my telephone company install it?

I know there are some places that charge, but is there any way I can send a possible employer (who wants my resume by fax) my resume through the internet… for free???

I have a fax number for a job and want to know the name of the company before I send my resume.

i need to fax my resume and cover letter but they are asking for a cover sheet, is it the same document? what does a cover sheet have?

if they require you to write something like "responding to job on craigslist", can you write it at the top of the resume?

I wanted to send my resume to this company thats hiring for a part-time receptionist but they close at 4pm I didn’t have enough time to send the fax on time. What happens if I send the fax even after they close, does it go through or I have to wait til the next day to do so?

i want to send a resume from my PC but dont want to pay the .95 for the fax.

Like.. if I’m trying to fax my resume to a company (obviously I have the number), is there a legit site where I can simply upload the document, put in their number, and it’s sent?
Links are cool…..

I don’t know the company’s name, address, phone number, or title or name of the head of the Human Resources/ Personnel Department. All I have is a fax number to send a resume, and cover letter to. So to whose attention should I put the cover letter to?

How do you get a career/job? (Preferable salary, with benefits) I fax, and or email and or snail mail and or drop off my resume and or portfolio to ever place I can. I call places. I am in the IL Army National Guard and have a Bachelors Degree. I am willing to relocate. I tried government/civil servant and private companies. Any suggestions or comments please let me know. THANK YOU!

Ok…I have a few questions regarding how to construct my resume for USAjobs.gov… From what I have read online, the rules/expectations for public resumes and private resumes are very different. I know I will need to be more descriptive with my job descriptions but can I use first-person (ie "I") to do so? Also, I attended 3 community colleges prior to receiving a degree from a university, do I need to list all of these (I did not receive a degree from any of the CCs)? And what about High School?

And what about cover letters? Are they appropriate for jobs applied for through USAjobs where everything must be faxed and there is no "fax cover sheet" for such things? ~ (…if that question makes no sense to you, you have never applied through that site lol) ~ … It is my dream to work for NOAA, am I shooting myself in the foot to call the HR person and say that? … I know that seems like a no-brainer with the answer being "YES! DON’T DO IT!". But I have a degree and am willing to work for free to be given a chance! I don’t have all the experience they are looking for but I know I could learn. Plus, the position is at the gs-01 pay grade which is literally entry level. So again, should I call the HR person?!?!?!?!

Dear J. Watson,

My name is **** and I have four years experience as a receptionist in the front office of a manufacturing plant. If you need to contact me with and questions or concerns, feel free to do so.

Sincerely,

or just the cover letter and the resume.

All jobs listed in newspaper adds, and internet seem to be jobs where you send your resume and hope you’ll get a response, but aside from Restaurant type work, where do you actually go in into a building, talk to someone and fill and application to submit. I’ve been searching for office jobs and usually the ads list fax number to send resume, and that’s it. And it’s not working, so any advice? And i’m in my 20′s.

I am looking for a service/website through the internet where I can upload pages (my resume actually) and have them faxed to potential employers. I would prefer a free service or something that charges me PER FAX rather than a flat monthly fee, as I will not use it enough to justify paying a monthly fee. Thanks for any info you can provide :)
I agree e-mailing a PDF file would be preferred, but some employers only offer fax or snail mail as a way to submit your resume.

When faxing a resume, should I include a cover letter along with the fax cover letter?

I’m unemployed & I would like to fax my resume to actual fax numbers from my PC free or the lowest possible cost.

I am submitting my resume via fax and am not sure what to write in the notes section if anything at all. It’s not like I am "attaching" my resume and cover letter.

I hate faxing my resume to a job ad and not knowing who I’m faxing it to.

I am looking for a job. One employer wants me to fax my resume instead of email. Emailing would be fine, but I have no fax. So can I send it through my email somehow?

How do I get a job and or network for a job? I call, email, fax, snail mail my resume ever ware I can.

I got a Bachelors Degree, Experience and in The Army National Guard.

Ok i’m 27. i’ve just done temporary jobs from a temporary agency, never had a full time permanent job. For a while i was unemmployed because i said "I’m gonna look for a job myself" lasted like 1 year looking and just failed miserably : had some test for the county, apparently did well so they would call me but it was at places not suitable for me
-pet shelter ( i hate pets)
-homeless shelter( or somethign) -required strong people skills and i’m just a shy guy. i’m not someone who argues and they said "you have to deal with difficult people at times"

Ok i did that searching, then i did the basic nenwspapeper job ads search.. sent bunch of faxes and resumes.. never got responses.

So having failed at my job search the only thing i could do is go back to the temp agency. that’s why i have a job now but it will end soon.

What do i have to do to get a real job? my resume may sound great but i’m a quiet non communicative guy so companies have no interest in me.
oh i’ve also done Internet Job searching, that’s even worse they never answer.

I need to fax a resume but I don’t have access to a fax machine or nowhere to get to one in next couple of days (snowed in). Is it possible to be able to send something from my computer to their fax machine? Does it cost anything?

I want to fax my resume to someone and don’t have a fax machine.
