I am looking for a simple program that will convert doc scans and fax them to local phone numbers… being able to receive faxes would be a plus.
Yes…. I have done the "G" search and all I find are fax services and "SHAREWARE" (which is really just PAYWARE) but you get a few days to pay for it.
I don’t want to use the services. Don’t like the idea of sending my DOCS to a 3rd party.
Thanks in advance.
I was able to send and receive fax when I was using the dial up but now I can’t because I’m currently using DSL. I had followed instruction from Windows Fax capability and it requires to insert the Windows XP Professional CD-ROM. I don’t have it on hand because my Desktop was customized. Also, I have Lexmark 4300 Series All-in-One but it failed, no dial tone. I only have one phone line. BTW, I’m aware of eFax and other fax services online. What’s your best technical advice? Many thanks in advance.
I am thinking about getting an account with them as they have unlimited incoming faxes, which is what I need (I have a separate set up for outgoing, which my need for is minimum). Does anyone have any personal experience with them? Good, bad, or ugly? Thanks in advance!
I have a combined printer, scanner, copier and fax machine but only one phone line. I have been told that I can run the fax line through the modem of the computer to send and receive faxes. Does anyone know who to do this, what cables/connections do I need and how does it work?
The machine is an Epsom and we are on Virgin broadband.
Thanks in advance.
i am working on an excel sheet (an attendance sheet on excel) and i need to know how to add a formula that i could double click on a cell and add a check mark. Fax cover sheets have it and i want to be able to do that on excel. thanks in advance for all the response.
Hi! I know i can send faxes through efax.
My 1st question:
Is it FREE to send unlimited faxes to anypart of world from EFAX? or are there any limits?
My 2nd questn:
We can send faxes thru XP. Does sending faxes from XP cost any charge?
Do we have to install any fax modem for this or can we manage with ADSL modem or a dialup modem? (pl dont laugh at this silly question)
My 3rd questn:
If i just join my phone line pin to my PC & send any fax to my local place through XP (within city & not long distance) does that cost? Will the local call charges be charged by my telephone operator? If sent to a long distance will the "long distance call charges" will be charged?
Please answer all my questions.
Also answer this:
What is the best way
a) to send faxes within my pace (not long distance)
b) to send faxes to long distance
c) to send FREE faxes
Hope you understand my lengthy questions & i hope you will answer all of my questions
THANKS IN ADVANCE!
I’m using Windows Vista and I would like to know if I can send a document through the internet to be received by fax, and if it is possible how can I can do it for free. Thanks in advance.
I have a regular phone line with no long distance service.
I have yahoo DSL.
I am looking into buying a printer/copier/fax at say a Best Buy or Fry’s Electronics, what models would work with faxing over the internet?
Most importantly, how would I fax using the internet and if possible bypassing a phone long distance company?
Thanks in advance.
I need to send a fax online, but all of the services I am finding want you to sign up for a monthly plan. I just want to send one fax. Does anyone know of a website that will allow e to upload PDF’s and fax them?
Thanks in advance!
It has to be faxed, they will not let me email it for whatever reason. What I am trying to do is find a website where you upload the file and its faxed over the internet. There are services that let you do this, but you have to sign up for a monthly program
I have a HP DV6000 laptop with Windows Vista 32-bit.
I want to know if I can delete Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartPC (I don’t use a fax machine, so I don’t think I need this. But just making sure.)
Also: Mouse Suite (came with computer), and Apple Software Update (I have Apple Quicktime, but don’t use it.)
Will it screw up my computer if I remove these? Thanks in advance.
Hi everybody, i’d like to know which is the cheapest service to send multiple faxes( 1000 and more) from email to faxes.

i am looking for a good program that allows me to use my fax modem as a fax machine. for example, something that lets me fax pdf files etc or anything i scan from my pc; that stands by with the click of a button so it can download incoming faxes to my pc so i could print it later. suggestions please? thanks in advance!
Hello,
I have 2 PC’s in my home network. Both have windows XP installed.
I have an adsl modem which is connected to a D Link DI-624 Wireless Router.
One of my PCs ( say PC 1) is wired directly to the the router ( An
ethernet wire from from PC1 goes to the Dlink router)
The other PC (say PC 2) is connected wirelessly to the router.
The problem is that I want to share files from PC 1 to PC 2. I cant do
it with the current setup.
Additional Information: PC 1 has IP address: 192.168.0.5
PC 2 has IP address: 192.168.0.100
The router has IP address: 192.168.0.1
So the gateway for both PC1 and PC2 is 192.168.0.1.
PC2 can ping PC1 but PC1 cannot ping PC2.
There is no firewall installed in either of the PCS.
How do I connect my 2 pcs so that they can share files with each other.
Thanks in advance,
Seeker
Both the PCs are in the same workgroup and both have File and Print services enabled.

My printer/scanner is a Lexmark all in one. One of it’s features is it will send Fax’s. I have broadband (cable). I don’t have a Fax # for my computer (to recieve Fax’s). Do I need one? If so, where/how do I get one? Where do I get a Fax Identifier? Is it automaticaly attached to the fax without my input when I send? Thanks in advance!
