I am having Telephone line, pc with windows xp, Scanner and Printer connected to usb ports. Can i able to send / receive fax messages using facilities? if not what’s more hardware / software required to use fax service from my pc.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium and XP Home in two partitions of my hard disk. I use this modem ‘ZTE ZXDSL 852′

for my ADSL connection. And I found out that the modem is not compatible with windows Vista (luckily I have XP too)

because, when I install the modem driver and plug it into one of my USB ports while using Vista, a blue screen

appears with a huge message on it which I don’t understand a bit. But, at the bottom of the screen, it says ‘Memory

Dumping and Restarting 3…2…1′ RESTARTS!

But with Windows XP Home, it work with no error.

Can someone help me with this issue? Or find me a link to download a driver of the modem made for Vista? Nothing’s

wrong with the hardware coz it works with XP very well with out a single error like I told you!

Im using an ACER travelmate series laptop and have encoutered problems with my USB devices as stated. The devices used to function normally and is functional with my desktop but not this laptop. The USB devices when plucked into my laptop are powered up but, the mouse cursor fail to respond to the movements of the mouse, the webcam images hang and I’m prompted to install a new hardware and my modem connects and disconnects me from the internet. All of the problem happens after a period of time of normal functioning and occurs periodically. Can anyone help me with this, as I have just retrieved my laptop from ACER’s service center and it is still experiencing the same problems despite them claiming that the USB ports are working fine and refuses to change them for me. Thanks!
