Business VoIP Solutions at the point in time of putting this article together is still a comparatively new development, although it has advanced to a place nowadays where it is readily accessible and affordable for small business VoIP solutions to be implemented to yield both cost savings moreover added telecoms related benefits for the end customer.

If you operate a small business generally there are currently two key VoIP phone options that you should take into account while replacing an existing communication system, or setting up the installation of a brand new one for the first time.

1. Hosted Business VoIP system – Where the phone communication control module is situated off premises with simply the software phones or IP phones housed at your company.

2. On site hosted Business VoIP communication system – This service revolves around installing the IP PBX main control processor into the actual workplace, with phone terminals or soft phones linked inside.

Both of the above business VoIP systems are able to offer, much more than adequate phone comms to a firm, and both will tend to be fairly similar in prices if you were to look at them around a time span of 3 years or more. To make it easier to make a comparison of charges with these VoIP options it is best to take into account in the initial upfront set up costs, i.e. components, system implementation, telephone business line set up charges, training together with the on-running month-to-month charges which consist of the telephone business line rentals, telephone call fees, business voip seats rental fees and any maintenance costs provided by the provider.

As soon as a decision has been made as to which communication system best suits your business style you will also need to consider your current phone or new phone number requirements to try and make sure that these can be met by the business VoIP provider. To end with your interior cabling requirements should be talked about (are you going to be using the current set up or will a newer one be put in) and it is subsequently just a case of then waiting for the business VoIP solution to be commissioned, which from time of giving the go-ahead should be in the region of three to four weeks later.

As soon as you have calculated all of the prices it is liable as referred to above that you will find the prices to be pretty alike, this would leave you with the decision of which telephone system is best matched to your actual organizations business, if perchance you are most likely to expand quickly then a off premise hosted smaller VoIP system normally allows for unconstrained expansion, however if you are large on business security then you may prefer to have a VoIP phone communication system that you can host and manage in house to be much more in charge of your system network.

i have had problems getting that seeminly built in program with office that is called Microsoft Fax, ex: like when you are in a Word Document and go to the File drop down Menu it has a Send to Fax Recipent option and then looks like you can go thru the motions of sending a fax.

However all the help files i’ve read seem to be on a Modem basis, and no sending help information when you are using a Voip for your phone line (or a DSL / Cable) any suggestions?

Or does anyone know of a free / inexpensive fax program that enables you to directly send faxes from a document from your computer instead of having to print it and then fax it?

Part of my desire in doing this is to save on paper… Thanks !

p.s. Happy Friday Everyone :o )

here’s the deal: i have a computer with cable modem and voip, and a scanner/printer. i refuse to buy a fax machine. is there a way i can send and recieve faxes in Panama?
