I hooked up an external modem with fax capabilities, hooked it up to my phone line, and ran the set-up wizard through "windows fax and scan". However, I’m not sure if it will work. Is there any way to test if I can receive faxes correctly? Additionall, is it ok if I don’t have a printer hooked up, will the fax just be received in "windows fax and scan" similiar to how e-mails are received? Thanks!

used wizard in fax console. I end up w/cover sheet, but have not been able to fax scanned items w/cover. Tried dialing direct from fax/scanner/copier still get ‘no answer’ from action. HELP!

I have a wireless router/adsl modem set up with broadband on my home Dell PC.
I have a Toshiba laptop that is wireless enabled that I would like to use with this wireless broadband on my PC.
How is gods name do I do this????
I installed the disc that came with the modem onto my laptop and followed the wizard to creat a new wireless connection via the network places in my computer but nothing is happening!
Please can someone give me a numpties guide on how to do this.

Thankyou for the answer but are you advising me to do this on my lap top or on the pc which has the wireless broadband at the moment?
