I have been filtering emails from my fax services into folders in my free yahoo account. Now I find it necessary to save all these attachments to folders on my hard drive. Is there a way to automatically download the attachments only into specific folders on my hard drive? The attachments are in PDF.

I simply want to find an old friend’s email address. The sites proclaim they are free till you enter the name, then it asks you for a fee to search. What happened to that simply service like yahoo people finder? Also, is there ANY site I can just search for an email address without asking me for a fee or sell my private information?

Does Yahoo has such a service and has anyone tried it before now?I could use an attachment but some of themdo not work out.Some companies do not allow employees to open attachments.

I know I have done it a couple of times in the past, the email friend finder tool on Facebook. I enter in my Yahoo address and then immediately now an error comes up: "We can’t import contacts from this address yet." What happened? Why isn’t Yahoo supported anymore, and any other way to easily check Facebook for my Yahoo email address book contacts? Thanks!

Perhaps with the same phone number as one’s phone in number? They could use people’s Yahoo email accounts to send/recieve the faxes.
I’ve thought about getting online faxing for a while now, but I don’t think I should have to pay a month to send and recieve a fax every now and then if I already pay to have a telephone number, and I do through yahoo call in.

If I understand how online faxing works properly, all you need in order to recieve faxes is a phone number and an email account… I have both of those through yahoo, and yahoo has been quite innovative in communications, so it makes sense that this would be one of the next steps. And it would make my life a lot easier!

I just wish that Yahoo mail can provide Online fax function in the future . Sometime people outside without fax machine while they need it , they find no way to fax their important document. If yahoo mail can build in this function i guess might be a good idea.

There customer care number is some spanish lady who keeps hanging up on me.Or it makes noise as if I’m calling a fax number.When I processed my order for a helio phone and 2 year contract plan I had to enter my credit information and social security for a credit check.When I pressed submit, it immediately sent me to a confirmation page in less than a second, even though it said that it might take a minute to process.It also sent me a confirmation email, but the fact that the customer care number seems bogus and it didn’t say anywhere when and how it will be delivered to me, I’m very paranoid about this whole situation.This site is also at the top sponsor results when you search for "free helio phones" on yahoo.com.So that’s why I tried it out.So, should I report this site as a scam site right now, or just wait a couple of days and see if my phone is actually delivered?

FOr the past 3 months or so i have been looking for an unlocked iphone. I am pretty sure I have been scammed but I will know for sure in 3 or 4 days.

I found an add on craig list for an unlocked 16GB iPhone 3g 0, brand new in mint condition. I replied to the craigslist post, and jjoos20@yahoo.com replied to me and said he had just posted the iphone on ebay as a buy it know. I followed the link which brought me to ebay I signed in and clicked by it brought me to a page that said the seller was using ebay square trade I put in my email address the site then said I then got an email from ebay that said go to the nearest western Union and make a transfer to the the ebay agent Manole Antonia Florina located in Romania. Once you sent the money i was instructed to send a conformation to the email to the seller or to the fax number (206) 350-1632. I followed the directions in the email, sent the receipt of the money transfer to the guy. He said the iphone should arrive in 1-2 days. Later he sporadically sent me emails about making me second payment on the second iphone I bought. I had only bought one iphone i told him this over email about 4 times and he basically said the same thing over and over. Later I went back to the email that contained the link for the ebay post. I then got a window saying 404 error – not found. I then took the item number from the link searched it on ebay and no posting showed up.

What do you think of the situation?
Who should I report this scam too, and what will they be able to do about it?

I noticed an option in Winfax for sending faxes over the internet, yet yahoo.com makes it so difficult to find the mail settings that I don’t even use Outlook!

I have a regular phone line with no long distance service.
I have yahoo DSL.
I am looking into buying a printer/copier/fax at say a Best Buy or Fry’s Electronics, what models would work with faxing over the internet?
Most importantly, how would I fax using the internet and if possible bypassing a phone long distance company?

I need to fax documents for Government job applications. They want six documents each with separate cover sheets and each time I apply I have to refax the documents. If I apply for 20 jobs that would be 120 faxes of 2-3 documents a piece. Kinko’s charges for the cover and .50 for each additional page. So you can see for someone out of work that 0-700 is pretty outrageous.

I tried E-fax supposedly free but they have no outgoing fax on their free service. I could by a cheap fax for from Amazon but I thought I give Yahoo a chance before adding another useless piece of equipment to my desktop. I have a copy/scan printer. Thanks
I know the fax is done but our federal government is not up with the times. I have the documents as PDF but they specifically say they won’t accept these documents as a fax and to add insult to injury they require you to download their fax cover page or they won’t accept it.
I mean they won’t accept unless they are a fax.

I have a fax number that starts out +61 and then some other numbers. Is that all I have to dial to send the fax or do I need an additional prefix (country code)?

I’m using an external fax modem(U.F.Robotics)… drivers are working correctly installed right according to device manager..when I try to connect to the internet it says no dial tone(ERROR #680)…but the computer b4 worked fine ,but it also had an internal modem too( I think)..this new computer is only set up for LAN??
