what do i need to do to be able to send a fax or what do i need to have to be able to send and receive faxes?
Today my aunt from mexico was going to sent me a fax but the people from over asked me my fax number, and i gave it to them but then they ask me for my tone number and i was like, what’s that? how can i get it? So then my aunt couldn’t send me the fax and she already had pay 70.00 pesos (which is 7.00 dollars) i was so sorry i couldn’t receive the fax.

I have never heard of a tone number either. Must be a Mexican thing. If you still have your box for your fax, it may have that info. somewhere on it. Other wise, whatever brand it is probably has a website with a help line. You could ask them also.
I haven’t heard of a tone number, either. As stated, it may be a Mexican thing. The only thing I can think of, kind of a wild guess, is the frequency of the signaling tone the fax machine uses to send the data. Nothing like that is needed here as the machines automatically go through a hand-shake process that lets them sync up and send at the fastest possible rate given phone line conditions, but I don’t know about Mexico.
