What’s the most cost effective way to change our fax receiving over to email fax?
This is for business purposes. We send/receive approx. 1000-1500pages of faxes per month.
We have a fax line already, but feel that it would be more cost effective to have these faxes received and then have the option of printing them. After trying to search for options online I have realized that all I’m finding is sites for specific companies’ products. I want to know what the easiest way is for us to conduct this change without having to change our fax number.

your PC must have a modem card (some place to plug the phone line in)
plug phone line to PC
setup fax receiving (start – control panel – phone and mode options)
let the PC receive the faxes, then view them, print, save, etc.
you may require additional software like winfax
You could purchase a fax machine which will automatically convert all incoming documents into digital format and store them… Or you could get a computer with a fax modem to send and recieve faxes. The computer and accompanying software could store/print the faxes depending on your setup, and would be hooked up to the same fax line as the old machine.
This link might help – also if you search Yahoo answers for Fax in resolved questions, there are other links.
If you see a cheaper way with a new number, you should look into forwarding your old fax number to any new number for a small charge for a month before you drop it. The saving in toner alone should cover it.
Download Symantec WinFax

Have a dialup modem, and buy a Symantec Winfax which will suits all budjet., Becoz while sending it using the seconds to send while receiving no problem to you if pictures and diagrams on paper simply scan it and send it through winfax.
