ZTE Modem ZTEDSL 852 with VISTA?
I have Windows Vista Home Premium and XP Home in two partitions of my hard disk. I use this modem ‘ZTE ZXDSL 852′
for my ADSL connection. And I found out that the modem is not compatible with windows Vista (luckily I have XP too)
because, when I install the modem driver and plug it into one of my USB ports while using Vista, a blue screen
appears with a huge message on it which I don’t understand a bit. But, at the bottom of the screen, it says ‘Memory
Dumping and Restarting 3…2…1′ RESTARTS!
But with Windows XP Home, it work with no error.
Can someone help me with this issue? Or find me a link to download a driver of the modem made for Vista? Nothing’s
wrong with the hardware coz it works with XP very well with out a single error like I told you!
Please HELP!

Filed under: How To Install a modem
This is probably some generic foray by a Taiwanese OEM manufacturer. I had a similar problem with a TV tuner box not compatible with XP, never got it fixed. I suggest you ask your dealer or ISP from whom you bought the modem to provide a driver. I doubt they’ll be much help though..
